My recent contracts have included administrative reform, IT, logistics, statistics and demography, development aid, health, human and women's rights, work for international courts and accounting. Since becoming freelance in 1997, my work has broadened to include a wider variety of translations in which the style and emotional impact of the original must be retained, not merely the sense.
Prior to that date, I worked for five years at the Federal Ministry of Justice in Bonn. In this position, I undertook translation and interpreting work in every area of the law, including mutual assistance, crime prevention, extradition, asylum and the court system/prosecution.
I am also pleased to accept editing and revision work.
I have additional language skills in Dutch, Slovak, Spanish and Italian which prove useful in situations where a variety of nationalities and original texts are involved.
