The Klein bottle was discovered in 1882 by Felix Klein and since then has joined the gallery of popular mathematical shapes. The bottle is a closed, one-sided surface with no edges, neither an inside nor outside. Cut it in half the right way and you get two Möbius bands (see Mobius band)
