Synchronous Juggling Patterns are patterns in which both

hands throw simultaneously. The Site Swap Juggling Notation has been extended to cover this case by writing the throws for the two hands and bracketing them together. For example, the synchronous 4-ball fountain is written simply as SS:(4,4)

One consequence of the notation is that all the numbers will be even, and we need some way of indicating when balls change hands. This is done by appending an x to crossing throws. For example the synchronous shower is written as SS:(4x,2x) and the four ball crossing pattern is written as SS:(4x,4x)

This notation can also be combined with that for Multiplex Patterns.
