Charlie Dancey wrote a paper that was a precursor to the whole business of the Site Swap notation. He's a brilliant juggler, superb entertainer, and wrote one of the standard works for juggling, "The Encyclopedia Of Ball Juggling." He also wrote "The Compendium of Club Juggling." His web pages are currently down but should be back up sometime soon, and we'll put a reference to them here when they are.
Mike Day was one of the group at Cambridge that co-developed the Site Swap notation. He also held the unicycling record from Land's End to John O'Groats jointly with Michel Arets, riding the nearly 900 miles in 14 days, 12 hours and 41 minutes. Ron Graham is at the University of California, San Diego, having moved on from a quite senior position at the Bell Labs or AT&T researchcentre at Murray Hill. Just how senior he was (and is) I've never been able to work out, as Ron is a modest and unassuming man.
That doesn't necessarily give the right impression though. He is a 7-ball juggler, international standard gymnast and trampoliner, was the President of the International Jugglers Association, in addition to being a well-known and widely respected research mathematician with an Erdos Number of 1. There used to be a profile of Ron on the Scientific American web-site but that has disappeared. It dated from March 1997 and is now inaccurate in places, but I've recovered a copy from the Google cache and stored it as Sci Am Profile Of Ron Graham.
