The Spiral is a plane curve which starts at a central point and gets progressively further and further away.
Spirals can be found in nature:
* Arrangement of seeds in sunflowers etc.
* Shells of nautilus and other animals
There are many named spirals which include:
* Archimedes' (or equiangular) spiral has the formula EQN:r=a\theta in polar coordinates
* Logrithmic spiral has the formula EQN:r=ab^\theta in polar coordinates
