Monty Hall, a game show host, offers you a choice. Behind one of three doors is a car and behind each of the others is a goat. You choose one of the doors but before you open your chosen door Monty Hall opens one of the other doors to reveal a goat.

He now asks whether you wish to stay with your original choice or switch to the last unchosen door.

(Assuming you wish to find the car) ... Should you stay, switch or doesn't it matter?

Mathematics, although the abstract study of patterns, is useful in making good decisions. This is why Mathematician are highly valued by Governments, Businesses, Industry and Financial Institutions.
